Board of Directors Nomination Form
TNT is looking for a number of people to join our active, working and hands-on Board of Directors.
Nominees must be able to attend meetings and actively participate in
the development of the organization. Attached are excerpts from the
by-laws that describe the duties and responsibilities of the Board.

Please include with your nomination:
- A 250 word essay (written by the nominee or nominator) including past leadership
experience, the reason for joining the Board of Directors,
qualifications, background/experience in working with
the issues of women in nontraditional employment.
- A resume or one-page Bio.
- Category of nomination (more than one may be selected)
- Organization (Nominee represents organization that shares primary mission
with TNT)
- Affiliate (Nominee represents organization for which TNT's mission is
not primary)
- Associate (Nominee is an individual who shares TNT's mission)
TNT's Mission: "To promote policies and actions that achieve
women's
economic equity by increasing the number of women in trade and
technical jobs and by improving their working conditions."

The governing body of the Coalition shall be the Board of Directors.
The Board will have, but
is not limited to, the following authority and responsibilities:
- Supervision, control
and direction of the affairs of the Coalition, its committees and its publications
- Determination
of Coalition policies and direction
- Active
prosecution of the Coalition’s
objectives
- Supervision of the disbursement
of Coalition funds
- Adoption of rules and regulations
for the conduct of business as needed
- Entering into contracts
with persons, companies, or organizations
- Scheduling the Annual meeting
of the Membership
- Regular attendance and
participation in Board meetings
- Hiring or appointing an
Executive Director to manage the daily operations of the Coalition
- Performance of
all functions as required by Law, the By-laws, or Articles of Incorporation
The Board may delegate
or withdraw any of its authority and responsibility to/from the Executive
Committee or Executive Director of the Coalition. However,
delegation of the Board’s authority in no way relieves the Board of its
responsibility as the Governing Body of the Coalition.
The Board shall consist of no less than seven (7) and no more than fifteen
(15) Directors . The Board shall be elected annually by the Voting Members
of the Coalition for
a three (3) year term.
